THE UTAH REPUBLICAN PARTY AT A GLANCE

The Utah Republican Party promotes the principles of the National Republican Party by only accepting nominations for any of the Utah offices openings, from those Republicans who embody what it is to be a true Republican.

The Utah Republican Party is governed by a group of bylaws and a constitution which chooses a steering committee consisting of four elected officials and five appointed party officers who carry out the every day operations of the Utah Republican Party. These nine individuals create an Executive Committee which included a Steering Committee plus the Legislative District Chairs – who provide support and direction – and a Central Committee to ratify and / or approve all official actions taken by the Utah Republican Party.

The Utah Republican Party has developed a platform in which they have taken pieces of The Bill of Rights, The United States Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and interpreted the words “Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness,” to meet the people of Utah’s growing needs.  

The Utah Republican Party Platform states that they have seen what our government regulations have done. That the government has become a major obstacle to competition and productivity among the people Utah and the people of American. By encouraging the people of Utah to rely more on market services, such as open commerce and not as much on the government, the economy can bounce back better and stronger than ever before. The people on welfare are another concern of the Utah Republican Party. They want to help them become productive citizens of the community in giving them a hand up, not a hand out. Another concern of the Utah Republican Party is the environment. They believe that water, air and land are at the heart of every person on earth’s existence and we must protect the earth through a sensible organizational system.

If you are looking for an opportunity to help out with the Utah Republican Party, there are many things you can do to help your candidate of choice, such as going door-to-door to help campaign for votes for that particular person or persons. You can volunteer your time stuffing envelopes and returning phone calls or e-mails to answer questions about the Utah Republican Party. There are always fundraisers that need assistance in many areas such as greeting guest, coat check person, parking cars, directing traffic and general help when it comes to gathering the donations from those who are there to donate to the Republican Party.

If you can not volunteer your time, perhaps you can donate a monetary sum, which is always tax deductable for the following year’s taxes.  

Make sure that you do your part for the Utah Republican Party by voting in the upcoming district elections for state and local nominated representatives in the Republican Parties and of course in the big Election in November of this year. Every vote counts. People sometimes tend to think that their one vote will not matter, but it does and elections, both big and small have been won and lost by one vote.
