THE UTAH REPUBLICAN PARTY NEEDS VOULUNTEERS
The Utah Republican Party has a core set of beliefs that follow in the footsteps of the National Republican Party’s however; they have made them fit their state of Utah for the betterment of its people.
The Utah Republican Party has taken the Declaration of Independence, the Bill of Rights and The United States Constitution and interpreted the words ‘Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness’ for its people.
The Utah Republican Party values life, honors and supports the military and all they do for the people of Utah and encourages free enterprise, private initiative and volunteerism.
According to the Utah Republican Party Platform, they have seen that government regulations can be a chief obstacle to productivity and competition among the American people and the people of Utah. They are encouraging the people of Utah to rely more on market services and not as much on the government. The Utah Republican Party also cares about the people on welfare and wants to help them become self-sufficient in giving them a hand up, not a hand out. The environment is another concern of the Utah Republican Party. They believe that water, air and land are at the heart of our existence and we must protect the earth through a reasonable management system.
Everyone is urged to join the Utah Republican Party to help preserve, protect and promote these core values. However there are other ways in which you can help the Utah Republican Party. You could volunteer your time and help with campaigning such as phone calls to registered voters or going door-to-door making sure the people of different neighborhoods are registered voters. If they are not, you can give them information about where to sign up such as the library or their local Division of Motor Vehicles office. That way no one is left out of this year’s election because it only takes one vote to sway the decision. People don’t think their one vote will count but it does, one person can make a difference and presidential races are usually very close so one vote is worth every effort. You can always give a monetary donation which is tax deductible for next year.
There are always volunteers needed to represent the Utah Republican Party at the Republican National Convention being held September 1-4 in St. Paul, Minneapolis this year. Here you would help lead delegates to and from the convention floor, help with hotels and shuttles, help with holding the signs and help gather all the delegates into their seating area. Basically, help the delegates with whatever it is they might need while they are at the convention. It’s a fun and exciting opportunity to be a part of history at the Republican National Convention.
The Utah Republican Party is encouraging everyone to do their part, whether its for the National level of Presidential candidates campaigns or the local level of senate and state representatives races, everyone has a voice and a say in the outcome of who will be running this country come January of 2009.
